Meet “Riser” — a refined Nubster surfboard fin designed to work as a fifth, rear fin in a quad surfboard.

Based on our popular Mr Stubbz Nubster, Riser features a slightly more refined template and is made from solid fibreglass for a responsive, durable construction.

A Nubster fin is installed in the centre rear fin box of a quad surfboard. The smaller fifth fin adds stability, control and a touch of extra hold, helping to settle a loose-feeling quad while maintaining the speed and flow of the original quad setup.

Riser also brings some serious style to the back of your board. Its layered colour palette is inspired by the early morning sunrise over the ocean, creating a distinctive finish with subtle variations through the layers.

How Does a Nubster Fin Work?

A Nubster is a small fifth fin positioned in the rear centre fin box of a quad surfboard. It adds a little extra hold and stability between the two rear fins, giving the board more control through turns while retaining much of the speed and freedom of a quad setup.

Riser is designed for surfers who like the speed and release of a quad but want a little more confidence and control underfoot.

Riser vs Mr Stubbz

Riser is based on our existing Mr Stubbz Nubster but features a slightly more refined template and solid fibreglass construction. It also features a distinctive layered colour finish inspired by sunrise over the ocean.

Both are designed to function as a fifth/rear fin for a quad surfboard.
